8th Grade Service Project

This Lent, all of the 8th Grade Students at our North County Catholic Elementary Schools are coming together in service to our neighbors at Marygrove.

The youth residents (ages 10-18) at Marygrove have the opportunity to "shop" at their Campus Store on weekends using "points" they earn throughout the week. The store was recently renovated and will reopen soon. Our 8th grade students are helping to re-stock the store with fun items that will bring smiles to the youth at Marygrove.

 

8th grade students will invite their family, friends and community to join them in supporting Marygrove residents with donations of items geared toward boys and girls ages 10-18 that they would enjoy shopping for, such as:

• Bath & Body/Axe products

• Nail polishes/make up sets

• Cosmetics & Jewelry

• Headphones/ear pods

• Lego sets (ages 10-18)

• Puzzles

• Arts and Crafts Kits

• Sensory Items

• Gift cards (Walmart, Dollar Tree, Amazon, etc.)

• Room Decorations

• Journal Items, Stickers

• Youth Prayer Books/Devotionals

• Colorful Gel Pens

• Card Games/Uno/Skip-bo

• “Boy” Activities

• Summer Outdoor Items

• T-shirts/Sweatshirts in variety of sizes

• Anything that would bring joy and a smile!

8th Grade students will collect items at their own schools March 1-20, 2023. Then, we will gather what they have collected and deliver to Marygrove.​ 

 

We are working together in service to others as the Body of Christ to bring joy and support to our neighbors, especially youth in our community who are living in difficult family circumstances.
